| About the Presentation
If you’re currently in a job transition, or contemplating a job change, you’ve most likely used a traditional system of finding employment that is no longer effective. To succeed, you need to change your mindset and be creative to differentiate yourself from all others in today’s highly competitive job market. Greg’s presentation addresses the need for a strategic versus the traditional approach to a job search. You can no longer rely on a sparkling resume and cover letter to get you in front of the hiring manager.
Let Greg share with you the strategies and techniques that will help you effectively market yourself by broadcasting your value to the business community, not your resume. Expand your professional network and tap into the hidden job market by working smarter, not harder. This approach will then give you the opportunity to conduct strategic interviews that will clearly separate you from your competition and shorten your time in transition.
At the end of the presentation, we will have a drawing for TheHireRoad's three-CD job transitioning set. These interactive CDs contain the four key steps necessary to conduct a successful job search by helping you get noticed, expanding your professional network, successfully interviewing, and negotiating Win-Win Job offers.
About Greg Wood
Greg Wood brings a wealth of expertise to the field of career counseling. Mr. Wood’s background includes more than 30 years of business experience, primarily in sales and marketing, where he has held senior management positions with mid-size as well as major Fortune 500 corporations.

Several times during his career Greg experienced firsthand the challenges and anxiety of being unemployed. His frustration with an ineffective, traditional system of finding employment led him to the field of career counseling, which reflects his true passion for helping people succeed in their careers. Since then he has worked with hundreds of professionals in transition, both individually and in group outplacement environments, leading him to become a Certified Career Management Professional.
Following the suggestion of many of his clients, Greg created TheHireRoad, a CD-based in-home seminar, to provide others with his radically new approach to the challenges of job search, thereby empowering them to find the right job in the least amount of time.
About TheHireRoad, Inc.
TheHireRoad, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Greg Wood. Recognizing how frustrating and ineffective the traditional system of finding employment can be, Greg developed a unique program that teaches an entirely new approach to the challenges of job search.
The success of this program led to his vision of trying to reach as many job seekers as possible, enabling them to attend his seminar in the privacy of their own home. His revolutionary new CD-based, in-home interactive seminar has proven to be an invaluable resource for both job seekers and employers.
Job seekers learn how to break away from the traditional method of job search using a roadmap of strategic marketing techniques that helps them achieve their key objective of “differentiation” in the job market. Employers, through this cost-effective program, can now provide all exiting employees not eligible for traditional outplacement the direction and guidance they need for an effective job search.
