Presentation Abstract

The 7th Edition of the PMBOK(®) Guide is a radical departure from previous versions. This discussion takes a deep dive into this document and tries to grasp the impact it may have on the practice of project management. Gone are the orderly divisions of project management functions that we have come to know as the Knowledge Areas. The body of knowledge has been replaced by a series of principles and performance domains with a focus on tailoring and agile practices.

Attendees will come away with a thorough understanding of this new body of knowledge and standard. For people considering certification, this program will shed some light on where the certification program is heading and how to train for the exam.
