PMICIE in partnership with Cal Poly Pomona’s College of the Extended University is offering a 5 Saturday LSS-Green Belt certification preparation course starting January 9th 2016!!.
About the Course:
In just five (5) Saturdays participants will earn a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from Cal Poly Pomona Extension. Receive face-to-face instruction from the leading polytechnic university in Southern California as given by an instructor who is both a CSSBB and PMP with years of real-world experience.
The course will follow the proven Six Sigma roadmap known as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Participants will be trained on green belt six sigma concepts, which will enable students as a green belt level specialist to immediately use the skills acquired by implementing six sigma into every area of the workplace.
All of the Course materials have been prepared by a PMI approved Registered Education Provider (REP) and are based upon the American Society for Quality’s (ASQ) LSS Body of Knowledge. This Course allows you to earn CEUs for LSSGB Certification and PDUs for PMI certification maintenance. The PDU’s earned during the workshop integrate with PMI’s new talent triangle continuing certification requirements which begin taking effect in Dec. 2015

Learn when it’s appropriate to choose the Six Sigma DMAIC model for managing certain types of projects versus Agile, Critical Chain, Lean, and/or traditional methods
Learn how to properly apply these best practice tools and techniques to achieve a competitive advantage, greater customer satisfaction and loyalty, significant cost savings, better quality, improved profitability, and a phenomenal level of product/service consistency
Learn how Six Sigma is an integral part of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and project management is an integral part of the Six Sigma Body of Knowledge (SSBOK)
Learn the difference between Lean and Six Sigma and how these two approaches to continuous improvement are complementary
Learn the fundamental difference between Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Six Sigma and why the latter has proven to be so much more successful

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Michael Trimble, CSSBB, PMP
Michael (Mike) Trimble is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) and Project Management Professional (PMP). His background includes over 10 years of executive level experience leading strategic business units with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility. Mike has leveraged his Lean Six Sigma Project Management skills to successfully manage enterprise project portfolios; programs valued in excess of $100 million, key business initiatives and complex cross-functional projects. More specifically, his Lean Six Sigma projects have significantly raised customer satisfaction, added hundreds of millions of dollars to the bottom line and helped advance his career. While working for a Fortune 200 company, he led the only team in his division to earn the TRW Champion’s Award for outstanding leadership and team-based performance excellence. Mike has worked in numerous manufacturing and service industries. His training, coaching and consulting practice has been helping others successfully apply these proven best practices, in every functional discipline, for nearly a decade. Mike holds BS and MBA degrees.
