Presentation Title: Project Management and Strengths-based Leadership

Presented by: Angela Hines

PDU Category: 2 PDUs Strategic

Overview:

The impact of a positive leadership approach is profound. Using CliftonStrengths to manage teams pays off for more than the bottom line.

Give People a Common Language:

The 34 CliftonStrengths themes and their definitions provide everyone a vocabulary to understand and communicate better.

Cultivate Improved Collaboration:

When people are in roles that fit their talents, energy and passion fuel strong performance. And when positioned to complement each other's talents, employees take teamwork to another level.

Strengthen Your Workplace Culture:

Great things happen when you lead based on what’s strong instead of what’s wrong. You must help employees manage weaknesses, but strengths-based development is proven to help you engage employees and accomplish your goals.

Speaker Biography:

She has been with the County for 13 years and prior to her current role held positions as an applications technology supervisor, certified PMP project manager, and Director of Applications for the Riverside University Health System.

In 2017, Angela began chairing a department committee tasked with looking at the soft-skills and leadership approach for the department.
