Speaker Biography:

Software quality has been a passion since I landed my first software testing position back in January of 1990 at Xerox Corporation in El Segundo Ca. I can remember that day like it was yesterday, because it took an entire Saturday for the interview process. There must have been over 100 candidates and only 5 of us walked away with contracts to test their state-of-the-art “printers” (hardware & firmware). 1990 was a significant year since Xerox had just been awarded the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. I learned first-hand about testing methodology, development process, business requirements, defect management, change and issue management, test planning and execution and the power of “exit criteria” that had been agreed upon by all stakeholders. The years I spent at Xerox were a pivotal point in my testing career since it gave me the backbone material to launch a software testing business. “I learned from the best.”
