Presentation Title
Leading a Project and Team in Stressful Times: Supporting your Team’s Mental Health
Presentation Speaker
Paul Pelletier LL.B., PMP, CAPS
Presentation Abstract
The last few years have had tremendous mental health impacts on all of us. The rippling impacts of massive change, stress, a global pandemic, and the shift to virtual work are a few of the factors impacting our mental health. If ignored or handled badly, mental health can devastate your team, client relationships and projects. On the other hand, by creating a supportive, compassionate and stigma-free team culture, conversations about mental health become normal and our teams can find the help they need.
You can support yourself, your staff and coworkers through these stressful times by learning how to openly, safely, and respectfully talk about mental health. With tools and an action plan, you can create an effective strategy to discuss, manage, support and improve your staff and coworkers’ mental health and stress. This presentation will enable PM and BA leaders to understand how to effectively support staff and coworker mental health and reduce stress. The following Learning Outcomes will help you:
• Proactively engage and acknowledge mental health challenges
• Hold open and safe mental health conversations
• Create a supportive and inclusive approach when mental health issues arise
• Build trust and remove stigma around mental health
So join Paul Pelletier and other PMICIE members to learn about his ground-breaking work in workplace respect, bullying and conflict management to help you transform your workplace.
