Presentation Title:

‘Project Governance Elements for Success' -- Presented by Dr. Tom Fryer, Ph.D., 'C' Level Entrepreneur & Visionary

Presentation Abstract:

In order to understand how to successfully execute their projects, today's project managers must answer two strategic questions; 1) "What is the goal of business?" and 2) "What is project governance?"  All too often, organizations may decide to change scope, increase risk, reallocate resources, or cancel a project without looking at the effect on the strategic goals of the organization. Project governance provides today's project managers a defined process and methodology to ensure that both the strategic goals of the business and the reason the project is undertaken have been successfully met.

In this interactive and informative session, Dr. Fryer will provide attendees with a basic understanding of project governance and the challenges that may be encountered implementing this governance, as well as providing insight into how organizations evaluate project success based on the principles of project governance. Following are some key takeaways from this presentation:
- A fresh perspective on the current challenges facing project managers and stakeholders
- An understanding of how to address these challenges
- Best governance practices to achieve both project and strategic success

You will leave the session with a basic understanding of the importance of project governance at both the project level and the strategic level to help ensure both project success and business success.
