Speaker Biography:

Debi Primeau has over 35 years of experience in Health Information Management.   As Primeau Consulting Group’s Founder and President, Debi collaborates with experienced and professional health information professionals to provide documentation and coding audits, health information and project management, information governance and privacy and security consulting services.

Previously, Debi worked with large consulting companies overseeing acute and ambulatory care clients for Health Information and Privacy and Security consulting services. Furthermore, she was responsible for developing and implementing clinical documentation improvement programs, as well as developing and providing education and training programs.

She has a degree in business management, in addition to a graduate degree in organizational management. She is the Past-President of the California Health Information Association and received the CHIA Distinguished Member award in 2013 and the Industry Champion  Award in 2018. Debi received the distinction of Fellow from AHIMA, continues to serve as an AHIMA Delegate, serves on the AHIMA Advocacy Council and is known as a national thought leader through her presentations and articles.
