Presentation Title: Managing Complex Customer/Vendor Relationships

Presented by:  Mark Mosher
                       Information Services Manager
                       San Bernardino County

PDU Category: 1 PDU in Leadership

Presentation Abstract:

Managing a vendor relationship frequently requires skilled and careful leadership and a level of personal strength. There are unique aspects of leadership that apply to Vendor Management, and the overall development of these skills for the role can make a big difference to how effective the vendor manage will be.

Mark will cover his real world experience managing an international technology services and software vendor.   Significant promises are being made by the vendor to those in charge of purchasing without any regard for the actual delivery of these services. This has created a huge lack of respect and animosity by the rank and file IT staff.  Learn strategies for turning difficult vendor relationships around and how to motivate staff to succeed in the face of impossible promises.

Learn how to manage teams and vendors effectively under extreme workplace conditions from this veteran executive.
