Presentation Abstract

Gainful employment can be a crucial first step to transforming a veteran’s life. Through U.S.VETS Career Centers and career counseling services, we help veterans translate their military experience into civilian employment opportunities. At the same time, we foster long-term relationships with large employers committed to hiring veterans. As a result, we help expedite the placement process and expand employment opportunities for the veterans we serve.

U.S.VETS brokers long-term relationships with employers interested in hiring veterans, effectively widening overall veteran employment opportunities and improving employment retention. Our end game is to find meaningful full-time employment for veterans who need our help. We are proud to say that more than 90% of placements made through U.S. VETS are for full-time employment opportunities. Services available  include

• Counseling on your career from certified career counselors
• Accessing the Computer lab to create resumes and search for jobs
• Enrolling in Resume & Cover Letter, Interviewing and Job Search Workshops
• Participating in networking events
• And much more...
